Stop Aboriginal culture lessons: report

ABORIGINAL children should not be taught their culture in schools, a report endorsed by federal Education Minister Julie Bishop says.

The report, by the Menzies Research Centre, suggests removing indigenous culture from the curriculum, because it prevents Aboriginal children from progressing in their education.

TSUNAMI SURF RELIEF UK - ONE YEAR ON - ‘A small charity achieving where international aid has faltered.’

Tsunami Surf Relief UK (TSRUK), the organisation that helped co-ordinate the UK surfing communities’ response to the Asian Tsunami of Boxing day 2004, has made real impact on the East coast of Sri Lanka. The organisation is building houses, employing teachers and helping to build an orphanage and school.
